Currently hailing from London, The Cool Greenhouse's razor-sharp sardonicism has a distinctively British flavour. Somewhat akin to the cynical ramblings of Fat White Family, The Fall or The Modern Lovers, the band's deranged-sounding new tune 'Alexa!' is an off-kilter contemporary love song and ode the infamous Amazon-backed household assistant-cum-surveillance device. Propelled by a hectic, see-sawing guitar pattern that's repetitiveness becomes increasingly maddening as the track progresses, metronomic beats keep time like clockwork.
